Our Story

My healing journey over the past year has been a full-time commitment, and I feel incredibly blessed to have come through it stronger, happier and more hopeful.

So many challenges presented themselves that I felt broken, inside and out. However, each challenge also gave me the chance to work on myself and begin shaping a new chapter of my life. I needed to shift my mindset from "Why are all these things happening to me?" to "Things are happening, and I want to feel them, experience them, and grow through them."

And that's exactly what I did.

Along the way, I became passionate about how essential oils can support emotional and mental wellbeing. I trained as a Level One Certified Aromatherapist so I could care for my own emotional health with these natural oils. Now I want to share that with anyone looking for the same kind of support.

Why Finding Zerenity?

The name Finding Zerenity was inspired by my son, Zander (Z), who passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly in July 2025 at just 21 years old.

Z was a funny, smart, determined and deeply caring young man. He suffered debilitating seizures from shortly after he was born. After two brain surgeries, one of them a left temporal lobectomy, medication kept his seizures controlled. But the impact on his mental health was significant. He worked his whole life to manage deep-seated anxiety, depression and a lack of self-worth. He worked on himself tirelessly, and with the support of family, friends and professionals, he was beginning to grow into his life with abandon.

I am proud and honored to be his mum. I am blessed to call Z my son, my firstborn, my warrior.

Through Finding Zerenity, I hope to share with others the comfort and support essential oils have given me since his death: the same support he needed so much during his life.

In his honor, 10% of every purchase from Finding Zerenity is donated to the Melos Center - an organization that has provided me with the comfort and community I needed this year - so that the love and care he showed during his short life can keep reaching people who need it in our community.
